The city’s largest ridesharing fleet will be at work during the Super Bowl, including limos, sprinter vans, charter buses and more. Uber is also adding a branded pick-up area at the Phoenix Convention Center and Nicollet Mall, where fans can get charged up, escape the cold and grab a bite to eat while waiting for their ride. And for those who don’t have their own vehicle, Valley Metro is adding more buses and trains. It’s also extending the hours of its light rail and deploying a dozen free park and ride shuttle options to accommodate visitors. The shuttle service plan is made possible through a collaboration between Downtown Phoenix Inc., Valley Metro and community sponsors Visit Phoenix, APS, Lewis Roca, the University of Arizona and Cordia. The partnership will offer free light rail rides to people who are attending paid and free events at the Phoenix Convention Center, Footprint Center and Margaret T. Hance Park.
